The 1-day lecture is basically aimed at equipping the participants with the knowledge on internationalization of the higher education in the era of millenial 4.0. It is further expected that after the lecture, the participants are able to understand the concepts and principles of internationalization of the higher education in the era of millenial 4.0; have the skills of participating simple internationalization plan suitable with any chosen types of programs; identify the steps in starting, running and evaluating the internationalization program along with its risks; have the skills in marketing and market consideration of the universities in global; have the skills in managing finance of the universities; and, have the skills in creating universities that are able to be sold in good packaging and reasonable price. Being skillful internationalization of the higher education will in turn make the universities effective to achieve their mission as a catalyst for change reflecting its role as an agent to build the capacities of the students in the era of millennial 4.0.
The single guest lecturer, Prof. Drs. Muhammad Basri Jafar, M.A., Ph.D. from Universitas Negeri Makassar as the Head of Doctoral Study at the School of English Education, Graduate Study UNM, Indonesia under the collaborative work between Universitas Muhammadiyah Pare-Pare and Universitas Negeri Makassar. The resource person of the lecture provided the participants with the basic understanding and skills on internationalization of higher education in the era of millennial 4.0 based on his experience studying his Master of Arts at the Ohio State University, USA, PhD in Victoria University, Australia, and Research Fellow at Roehampton University, UK.
On behalf of the Rector of UMPAR through the Director of the Graduate Studies, Dr. Drs. Amaluddin, M.Hum, officially opened the lecture and encouraged the participants to have full participation in all activities provided by the excellent guest lecturer on Internationalization of the higher education in the era of millennial 4.0. He then expressed his sincere thanks to the resource person from Universitas Negeri Makassar in supporting this important guest lecture to assist the University of Muhammadiyah Pare-Pare achieve their mission for the better university in the era of Industry 4.0.
